Team Member

Job Status: Full Time or Part Time

Work Schedule: Varies

Position Summary: The Team Member’s primary responsibility is to brighten every moment through customer service to all customers through fast and courteous service. This position is responsible for demonstrating regular and predictable attendance, ringing up all products, receiving and disbursing money for items in the store and maintaining the cleanliness and inventory. The Team Member will use a cash register, scanner, card machine and other related equipment while on the job.

Essential Functions:

● Greet customers upon entering the store or on the phone

● Provide fast and courteous service

● Suggest sale items and offer suggestions on promotions to customers

● Thank customers for their business

● Scan or ring up all products/merchandise, showing amounts due; responsible for all cash during

the shift in the form of cash, credit/debit cards, or any other acceptable form of payment

● Make routine cash drops to the safe

● Maintain minimum cash drawer according to company policy

● Complete end of shift paperwork with accuracy

● Clean restrooms: toilet, sink, mirror, walls, and ceiling; keep clean and odor free; keep soap,

toilet paper, and paper towels stocked

● Sweep and mop floors, keep free of trash and spills; rugs swept and free of trash

● Clean and dust shelves, maintain shelf tags as needed; merchandise clean and dust free; assist

with store resets including removing product from shelves, move shelving, etc.

● Clean doors, shelves, and floors of cooler; keep free of spills

● Empty, clean, and bag trash cans

● Clean doors and windows, keep free of dirt and smudges

● Keep counter area clean and organized

● Keep coffee and fountain area clean, free of spills, and trash

● Clean and organize back room (stockroom) and cooler as directed by store management

● Keep parking lot swept and free of all trash, dirt, oil and gas spots

● Stock, front, and face all merchandise including cooler, coffee and fountain area, sales counter,

etc.

● Responsible for securing customer identification as required by state and federal law on all age

restricted products (tobacco, alcohol, lottery, energy drinks, etc.)

● Assist with duties in other areas of the store, such as monitoring gas pumps or bagging and

carrying out customers’ items.

Salary: $14.00 to $15.00 /hour

Team Lead

Job Status: Full Time or Part Time

Position Summary

The Team Lead’s primary responsibility is to brighten every moment through customer service to all customers through fast and courteous service in the deli. This position is responsible for demonstrating regular and predictable attendance, making sure to set an example to other team members of what a well-rounded and informed employee does.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet customers upon entering the store or on the phone

● Provide fast and courteous service

● Suggest sale items and offer suggestions on promotions to customers

● Thank customers for their business

● Complete end of shift paperwork with accuracy

● If there is a deli - Clean Food Area to OSHA standards

● Lead the team in store maintenance - sweep and mop floors, keep free of trash and spills; rugs

swept and free of trash

● Lead the team in making sure the appearance of the store is beautiful - clean doors, shelves,

and floors of cooler; keep free of spills

● Lead the team in making sure the exterior of the store is clean and beautiful - empty, clean, and

bag trash cans. Clean doors and windows, keep free of dirt and smudges

● Keep counter area clean and organized

● Clean and organize back room (stockroom) and cooler

● Keep the assistant manager and store manager informed of store’s successes and struggles if

they are not there

● If there is a deli - lead staff in cooking, cleaning, and maintenance in deli area

● If there is a deli - train new employees on deli procedures, menu, food prep and presentation

● If there is a deli - be an expert on all things related to the deli and keep the team excited and on

board about maintaining deli procedures

Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour

Assistant Manager

Job Status: Full Time

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager is responsible for the day to day store operation, as well as the employees in the store Manager’s absence. We’re looking for a candidate with a passion for customer service, a drive to create a successful store, and communication skills that enable them to inspire their team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● The Assistant Manager will assume all store leader responsibilities when the store leader is

not present or during any periods of absence to include bank runs, and scanning in invoices

from vendors

● Provides superior and quality customer service through consistent interaction. Serves as a

role model to team members on how to upsell and promote products

● Assists customers and responds to customer's complaints or inquiries

● The Assistant Manager is responsible for completing daily reports accurately and reviewing

daily close reports.

● Responsible for maintaining store inventory - daily cigarette count included

● Scans in weekly product order to be verified by store manager.

● Responsible for leading the training of new employees & holding all store employees to a

high standard; submitting disciplinary paperwork when needed.

● Responsible for conducting performance reviews for part time team members

● Must be flexible & may need to cover shifts

● Ensures compliance of store personnel with policies and procedures, including established

security, sales, and record keeping procedures and practices

● Responsible for merchandising the store according to company guidelines

● Assists the store manager on handling labor based on store traffic

● Maintain store image at all times

Store Manager

Job Status: Full Time

Work Schedule: Varies

Position Summary

The Store Manager brightens every moment through excellent customer service and the management and leadership of all store personnel. The position is responsible for all store operations including the deli. Duties include interviewing, selecting, training, and directing the employees, along with management responsibilities, including purchasing, inventory, budgeting, accounting, and banking. The Store Manager is on call and must have a working telephone.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

● Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers, and responding to

customer inquiries and complaints

● Hire, train, and evaluate store personnel, promoting or terminating workers when appropriate

● Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts,

and in performing services for customers

● Schedule store personnel based on payroll budgets, review time cards weekly, edit as needed

● Responsible for managing store’s labor budgets

● Enforce safety, health, and security rules

● Follow all company policies and abide by all government standards, including Department of

Health, Department of Labor, and other applicable agencies

● Responsible for accuracy and integrity of inventory, maintain inventory, restock as needed

● Determines what is needed for merchandise, supplies, equipment, food service, and

communicates needs to Operations Manager or VP of Retail

● Delegates tasks to maintain the cleanliness and image of the store

● Responsible for merchandising the store according to company guidelines

● Responsible for ensuring accurate scanning of deliveries and building relationships with the

vendors as it pertains to deliveries

● Examines merchandise to ensure it is appropriate for resale, correctly priced and displayed, and

that it functions as advertised

● Responsible for daily bank deposits, ordering and picking up change orders and ATM funds,

loading safe, ATM, etc.

● Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports for management and the accounting

department

● Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand

markets, and promote business

● Perform work activities of subordinates (Team Member, etc) such as cleaning and organizing

shelves and displays and selling merchandise as needed
